My name is Amanda Sainz and my Wife is Johana Sainz. We are a same sex couple that always had the idealistic dream of getting married, buying a home, and starting a family. After 5 years of marriage and two homes later we started our IVF journey on December 17th, 2020. We decided that my wife, Johana, would carry my embryos. Yes, plural, one boy and one girl.

The egg retrieval process was long, tedious, and invasive; but, on June 1st, 2021 we received the call that of the 24 eggs retrieved, 18 matured, 15 fertilized, 7 made it to blastocyst, and 4 came back genetically cleared. We ended with 2 boy embryos and 2 girl embryos. Our transfer date was scheduled for July 19th, 2021! On that date we were declared pregnant until proven otherwise. Two weeks later on August 3rd an ultrasound confirmed our pregnancy with both embryos sticking. We received our due date of April 6th, 2022.
